MEETING SHOW BENCH

About the Meeting Show Bench

The Meeting Show bench is a valued part of Royal Horticultural Society of New South Wales meetings, providing members with the opportunity to exhibit plants and floral art, share knowledge, and learn more about competitive horticulture in a friendly and supportive environment.

What is a Meeting Show Bench?

The meeting show bench is an informal exhibition held during selected RHS NSW meetings. Members may display plants, cut flowers, foliage, or floral art for display and judging.

Who Can Enter?

Meeting show benches are open to RHS NSW members unless otherwise stated. Beginners and experienced exhibitors are encouraged to participate.

Classes and Categories

Classes vary by meeting and may include pot plants, flowering plants, foliage, cut flowers, native plants, succulents and cacti, and floral art.

Show Bench Rules and Guidelines

Entries must be the exhibitor’s own work, staged by the exhibitor, and presented in clean, suitable containers.

Judging and Feedback

Judging is conducted by experienced judges based on RHS NSW horticultural and floral art standards. Constructive feedback is often provided.

Tips for Preparing Your Entry

Select plants at their best stage, groom carefully, and transport entries securely.

Why Participate?

Participation builds confidence, improves horticultural skills, prepares exhibitors for larger shows, and supports the educational aims of RHS NSW.
